Where were you born?
Miami, Florida

Did you always know you wanted to be a chef?
No, I never actually planed on being one, but I am very happy that I chose this path but I guess you can say it just kind of happened. I have always been drawn to creative people, and cooking allows me to be creative.

What was your first kitchen job?
In 7th grade I joined the work exp program and ended up working at a local sub shop, needles to say I only lasted 3 day, but I made $75.00 and received a free sub.

Who do you consider to be your most influential culinary mentor/teacher?
Everyone that I have ever worked with, you can learn from everyone around you. You just need to pay attention.

What is the oddest ingredient or meal you have ever had?
When I lived in Argentina we gathered for dinner on a cold winters night, and stew was on the menu. Only it turned out to be eye ball stew.

Have you ever cooked for someone famous?
Yes, President Bush, Tommy Lee and the Jonas brothers.

Do you cook at home?  What do you have in your refrigerator?
I usually cook for myself on my day off, but nothing elaborate, I enjoy a good soup and a simple salad.

Any memorable kitchen disasters?
None so far.

Speaking of disasters…what beverage or cocktail do you like to unwind with?
A diet coke.

What is your favorite dessert?
apple tart titan, but I only have it on my birthday.
