ALDREY GOMEZ
Aldrey Gomez is the Professional Fitness Trainer of the Biltmore Fitness Center. Aldrey holds certifications with the International Sports Association (ISSA) as a Certified Fitness Therapist (CFT), Specialist in Performance Nutrition (SPN), and Fitness Therapy. Aldrey designs exercise programs for every age group and level. He uses functional agility training, with emphasis on increased motor skill, coordination and balance. Also, Aldrey specializes in post-rehabilitation with People who have limitations such as: cervical spine, lower back, and shoulder injuries.

ERICA COHN
A former gymnast and athlete, Erica is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Instructor with Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.  Having taught aerobics for over 25 years, Erica specializes in strength training, cardiovascular awareness and conditioning, flexibility and endurance.  In order to achieve all of these levels, Erica uses her creativity and ability to alter the workout by changing the session every time.  In doing so, it helps to make the workout exciting and challenging and facilitates a positive and lasting effect on the body.  In addition, Erica is also a Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist who specializes in Eating Disorders. 

She believes that through exercise, hard work and a positive attitude, you can achieve anything.  She quotes, “All you have to do is believe in yourself and the rest will follow.”  She is also certified in Mat Pilates, Johnny G. Spinning, Cardio Ball and Boxing.  Erica also runs and operates her own boot camp that she has had for the 5 years.  She trains men, women, adolescents and children

GUSTAVO UMPIRREZ
Gustavo Umpirrez is a Certified Personal Trainer and former semi-professional soccer player.  He has been certified by the National Council of Certified Personal Trainers since 2002. Gustavo has also been with the World Institute of Science since 2004. He’s completed programs for the Expanded Food and Nutrition Program - Level I and II at the University of Florida Alongside being a Cardio Specialist, other accolades of his include certifications from ACE, AFAA, NASM, and NCSA. Gustavo won 2nd place in the NPC Miami Body Building Championship in 2006 and 6th place in the Florida State Body Building Fitness and Figure Championship.

Gustavo believes in stretching, training the core, weight training, and most importantly diet. His most important goal for his clients is to get them as healthy as possible, while also maintaining there aesthetic goals .Gustavo believes “Clients and there trainers should confide in each other to obtain there maximum goal.”  

JORGE I. CAJINA
Personal Trainer Jorge I. Cajina is passionate about applying scientific principles to help his clients achieve their best results. He is guided by the philosophy that smarter training will help you achieve better results. Through schooling, he has earned himself both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. Jorge also holds certifications from the following organizations: American College of Sports Medicine, National Academy of Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and The International Society of Sports Nutrition. In addition to the listed Jorge also holds Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor.

As a former coach, he has taught student athletes in strength training and conditioning, as well as help them win state championships. At the Biltmore Fitness Center he has trained a diverse population of clients and has a high successful track record in helping his clients lose weight, reduce body fat, and gain muscle.

LISA WAGNER
Lisa is a Licensed Massage Therapist who received her foundation as a trainer from Fitness Institute International, an extensive practical and academic program that took eight months to complete.  Upon completion in 1996 she became a Certified Personal Training Specialist.  She also holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. To gain further knowledge she has advanced certifications in Functional Movement Screen and Titleist Performance Institute Level One.  Lisa believes the body functions as a whole and muscle imbalances or flexibility issues should be addressed. 

She evaluates body composition, offers nutritional advice and prescribes a cardiovascular program to begin an integrative training program.  Lisa has experience working with a variety of dysfunctions and diseases such as cancer, hypertension, heart disease, obesity, osteoporosis, and knee and hip replacement.

LISETTE VALDES
Lisette Valdes is a Professional Certified Personal Trainer at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables Florida. Lisette has over 15 years experience as a Personal Trainer, as well as an impressive background in Bodybuilding and Law Enforcement. While working for the prison system, she implemented “Fit Officers,” a training program for officers as well as nutritional seminars and counseling.

Lisette specializes in intensive training techniques for those looking to loose body fat, gain muscle, tone, and obtain optimal physical conditioning. Her training techniques consist of an integrated combination of aerobic exercise, cross-training, interval training and resistance training. She will teach you the adequate protein intake, balanced low-glycemic nutrition, targeted caloric deficits, importance of sufficient water, basic record-keeping and adequate rest. Together this is really is the single best way to improve fitness fast, and to reduce some very serious health risks.

LOUIS CAVE
Personal Training since 2003, Louis Cave has developed an instinctive style of training that caters to the individual client.  Certified Fitness Instructor with the International Sports Science Association and Specialist in Performance Nutrition, Louis has catered to a wide variety of clientele from young adults and athletes to special needs ranging from Muscular Dystrophy to Open Heart recipients.  His passion and love for fitness stems from his personal experience; beginning as the in house trainer at The House of Fitness in Pinecrest, Fl. Soon after words he was head of supplement sales. With only 3 years experience he was Fitness Director and Manager of the entire facility, heading the training program, directing membership sales, renewals and gym maintenance.

Louis continues to develop his training technique and has been given the special privilege and opportunity to share his passion and love for fitness and health here at the Biltmore Hotel. 

LUIS DA SILVA
With more than 30 years in the fitness industry, and as a highly accredited international athlete and peak fitness trainer, Luis offers expert individualized instruction and support. Luis has won two bodybuilding national championships in Portugal, and the Florida State championship. He has also represented Portugal at the World and European Bodybuilding Championships. In addition, Luis has titles in Gymnastics, and Judo. In addition to the mentioned, Luis was formerly the president of The Portuguese Bodybuilding Judging Federation.

Luis has the expertise to teach and train people of all ages, ranging from children to adults, including pregnant women. He takes pride in the fact that he has helped people reach their ideal weight. His goal is to improve the quality of life of his clients and to help them reach personal fitness aspirations; he cares about the well being of his clients.

MARK JOHNSON
Mark Johnson is a Strength Consultant, certified by the American Fitness & Professional Association. He received his training from the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America, and from his 5-year tenure at Miami Children's Hospital OR and ER, as an ERT and physical therapy aide. Mark's knowledge stems from 11 years of research and experience as a personal trainer and rehabilitation specialist. His unique training focuses on free weight movement, high repetition, and diverse exercises resulting in lean body muscles and depleted fat cells. Mark's subspecialties are rehabilitation of acute injuries and senior strength training. In addition, Mark creates customized meal plans for each of his clients.

Mark is also an active member of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. His hobbies include surfing, skiing, basketball, and running.

MAYILE SALAGADO
Mayile’s last seven years have never been more productive. She has certainly increased her resume, in adding more diverse certifications to her portfolio. Her Hydro-Pilates certification offers resistance training in water. Benefits of this principal consist of, eliminating ballistic gravity on extremities; this includes the hips and knees. additionally her Johnny G. Spinning certification has not hurt her with increased motivational factors to be distributed to her clients, to learn skills to add on to her professionalism. She has numerous demands requesting her exercise specialties. Truly, her results speak for themselves. Her guidance and determination reflects results within clientele. If you are not a believer, request to see her elaborate portfolio of before and after shots. Mayile’s directions are simple, “Maintain a positive attitude, work hard and results will come your way.” Most importantly, she has grasped the importance of proper nutrition to achieve her clients’ fitness goals. Mayile’s has been know to provide meal and food selections to benefit her stance as a fitness specialist. Her major target training, particularly in women, is working on glutes. Whether you see her here at the Biltmore Fitness Center working with clients or engaging in her own training regimen, her image and her work ethic is solid.

ROBERT GOODING
With over 30 years of experience teaching fitness and weight training, Robert is certified by the American Council on Exercise while also holding certifications from Johnny G. Spinning. With over 15 years as a spinning instructor, Robert has become an inspiration for people of all ages who decide to really make a positive change in their life through spinning. His classes are based on strength, form, technique and rhythm. At the age of 24 he moved to Miami and began teaching aerobics and personal training; becoming popular in the fitness industry, participating in body building contests and obtaining the title “Mr. Miami Beach” in 1989.

Robert Gooding specializes in time efficient, high quality workouts and believes that his method of training produces the best success. He is sensitive to his clients’ goals such as aesthetics, strength and flexibility or just developing a more powerful athletic ability. To brief the words of Robert himself, “You will get six times the workout in half the amount of time training with me.”

RONALD “RON” LAMB
Ron is currently training at the prestigious Biltmore Hotel Fitness Center in Coral Gables, Florida. He is one of the personal fitness instructors and nutrition specialist. Ron has been in the fitness industry for over 27 years and hails as a former Penn State Football Player. The competitiveness of football led him to participate in competitions and receive titles like: Trainer of the Year by the American Welding Society in 2002 and many more. He holds certifications from the American Council on Exercise, American Medical Systems, National Academy of Sports Medicine and the International Dance & Exercise Association; just to name a few. Ron’s experience includes working with NFL players, celebrities, models, Olympic athletes; awarded Top Trainer for American Welding Society and Self Magazine. Additionally, Ron has been known for his nutrition preparing and providing meals for his clients, who wish to burn body fat and add lean body tissue plus, his recently celebrity client, Los Angeles Dodger Alfredo Amezega.

ALEJANDRO LANDA
Mr. Landa has been a certified trainer for the past twenty years, first in Puerto Rico and currently in Miami, Florida. Some of his accolades include: 1st Place “Mr. Miami” 1997 and 2nd Place “Ana’s Classic” Puerto Rico 1995.

His experience and knowledge are extensive and focused on the development of cardiovascular functions, the core, strength, flexibility and definition.  This combined with a thorough grounding in nutrition provide him with the skills and abilities to work with a wide range of clients of all ages, genders and to assist those experiencing varied issues.  The benefits to his clients cover a vast spectrum; he is able to support individuals making life changes that will impact their overall well-being, those interested in weight loss, or others concerned with the overall toning and fitness of their bodies. He motivates and encourages his clients to not only reach and maintain specific goals, but keeps them interested to go the entire distance.

MONICA MENENDEZ ACOSTA
Graduating from Florida International University with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sports Physiology, Monica Menendez Acosta also carries a Personal Training certification from The American College of Sports Medicine. She has been working as a personal trainer since 1998, specializing in different high-risk populations including: cardiac rehabilitation, cancers, obesity, high blood pressure, lymph edema, lower back injuries, musculoskeletal disorders and pulmonary disorders.

In addition to dealing with high risk population, she also specializes in helping people with weight loss, strengthening, and toning weakened muscles. By training with Monica at the Biltmore Fitness Center, your body composition, blood pressure and resting heart rate will be assessed, allowing the development of a personalized fitness program according to your goals.   Learn how to calculate your target heart rate, determine what weight loss program will fit you best and help you improve your cardiovascular endurance. She will keep you motivated and challenged as well as provide you with nutritional advice to determine what is best for your body.  

ANN ANTHONY
Ann has been in the fitness industry for 18 years.  She began her career with “Jazzercise” and owned a national award winning fitness center.  In 1997, she also owned one of the first and largest spinning businesses in Miami.  She came to the Biltmore Fitness Center in the year 2000 as a water exercise instructor, personal trainer, and later became the Aerobics Director.  She is a certified Personal Trainer with the Aquatic Exercise Association and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America in addition to being a Johnny G. Spinning instructor.

She trains clients in both the pool and the gym and has had tremendous success with weight loss and muscle enhancement. While maintaining her home base at the Biltmore, Ann also travels internationally certifying instructors in her trademarked class Hydro Pilates.
