University of Miami Meetings and CME in Miami - Parents, Reunions, Alumni
Our hotel has deep connections with the University of Miami Health System and the Miller School of Medicine. The connections and mutual support reach back to WWII when our hotel was commandeered to be a medical facility for the troops. As the war came to an end, the Veteran's Affairs system took the hotel over and we continued to care, here, for our veterans until 1968.

Then in 1984, the hotel was renovated back into a luxury enclave of peace and focus for meetings in the tropics: we are now “Where the Americas Meet” with a purpose built conference center and another set meeting spaces - all with natural light – for a total of 76,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.
