OVERVIEW
With over 10,000 sq. ft. of workout space, the Biltmore Fitness Center is one of the largest hotel membership gyms
in the country. Fresh from an extensive renovation and expansion project, the Fitness Center provides the ultimate in exercise facilities
with state-of-the-art equipment including cardio machines with Cardio Theaters, weight and resistance pieces and free weights. Members
and guests can participate in more than 70 specialty exercise classes weekly and a variety of aquatic classes and swim programs held
in the hotel’s landmark pool. Fitness assessments and personal trainers are available by appointment.
Men’s Fitness and Men’s Health magazines have named the Biltmore Fitness Center as among the top hotel
fitness clubs in the United States.
EXERCISE EQUIPMENT & LUXURY AMENITIES:
- Over two dozen Precor cardiovascular machines including treadmills, recumbent bikes, steppers, and cross training pieces that
offer the latest range of resistance on the market. All cardio machines are specially equipped with Cardio Theater screens, allowing
members to individually view TV programs or movies while working out.
- Free weight room w/8,000 lbs. of Ivanko weight plates and dumbbells
- Weight machines
- Group Exercise Studio with Exerflex performance flooring and sound system
- Pilates Studio with full trapeze table, ladder and barrel; for personal one-on-one training with certified Pilates instructor.
- Yoga Studio, complementing the Fitness Center’s extensive yoga program
- Men’s and Ladies locker rooms with full amenities and locker room attendants
- Men’s and Ladies steam rooms and saunas
- SportFit Rehabilitation and Training—an on-premises facility offering one-on-one physical therapy and training
- Certified/Insured Professional trainers for personal training
- Fitness Center staff available for assistance & equipment consultation
- Futrex body analysis computer, giving accurate readings of body composition including body mass, percentage of body fat
and lean body mass percentage.
- Through its affiliation with the Passport program of the International Health and Racquetball Sports Association (IHRSA), Biltmore
Fitness Center members have privileges at over 3,000 health clubs worldwide.
- New retail products: supplements, clothing and accessories to be introduced in 2005.
