What Is The Junior Orange Bowl?

The Junior Orange Bowl is a non-profit organization based in Coral Gables, Florida that holds the Junior Orange Bowl International Youth Festival, a series of events held for the Youth of South Florida and the World. As of 2018, this series includes athletic, academic, and cultural competitions that draw on the skills, talents and strengths of over 7,500 girls and boys, aged 5-18 yrs.

The Orange Bowl’s Golf Competition draws the Top U.S. and foreign players from around the globe. This tournament, started in 1964, is now recognized as one of the world’s most coveted junior crowns. Many past champions, such as Mark Calcavecchia (1977), Tiger Woods (1991), Cristie Kerr (1994), Inbee Park (2002), Ariya Jutanugarn (2010) and Lexi Thompson (2009) have gone on to illustrious professional careers.

Register today for the Junior Orange Bowl Golf Championship Qualifier on Monday & Tuesday, December 9th & 10th, 2019!

This event will be limited to the first ninety (90*) paid entries accepted. All Applicants must meet following requirements to be eligible:

▪ Be at least 15 years old, and will not have reached their 19th birthday by midnight of January 6, 2020 (Younger players are encouraged to submit a resume with application for the Tournament Committee’s consideration)

▪ The handicap maximum is 4.0 for all participants.

▪ Not attending a College or University

▪ All entries are reviewed and subject to the approval by the Tournament Committee.

*field may increase at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.

The Qualifier will be 36-holes stroke play. The lowest scores for boy and girl competitors will qualify for entry into the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship on January 3-6, 2020. The low scores for United States boy and girl will qualify into the Championship, should the lowest score be recorded by a United States competitor, the next lowest score will receive a qualification spot. In order to be eligible for the United States competition, International competitors must provide proof of United States Citizenship. All ties for the qualifying spots will be sudden death playoff for that spot.

The Biltmore Hotel is the official hotel of the Junior Orange Bowl Golf Committee. Please contact the hotel to make room reservations at (305) 461-1959 or (800) 727-1926 and ask for the Junior Orange Bowl Golf rate.

Starting Times will be available at The Biltmore Golf Shop on December 8th after 4:00pm. Players are responsible for knowing their starting time. To contact The Biltmore Golf Shop please call (305) 460-5364 extension #2. Starting times will be from #1 & #10 Tees beginning at 7:00am each day.

The entry deadline is November 15th, 2019 or when field is full. All entry applications must be postmarked no later than the November 15, 2019 deadline. The entry application must be accompanied by the credit card authorization form. Please read carefully and fill out credit card form properly. Entry Applications will not be accepted if credit card information is not filled out properly.

ENTRY FEE: $150.00 US Dollars per player. CREDIT CARD ONLY, Visa, Mastercard or American Express are the only credit cards accepted.

You will receive confirmation of acceptance by email. Please be sure that the email is printed neatly and legibly. No refunds will be granted after November 15th, 2019.
