An evening that pays homage to the grandeur and storied legacy that have defined this landmark for a century. On this date in 1926, George E. Merrick gathered cherished friends, community leaders, and other distinguished guests to celebrate a bold new vision. One hundred years to the day later, the iconic Biltmore Hotel had its latest celebration—honoring a century of hospitality, style, and history etched into every arch, every gala, and every special occasion.
As part of its Centennial Celebration, The Biltmore Hotel Coral Gables lit up the night sky with a spectacular one thousand drone, drone show. This “Show in the Sky”, brought The Biltmore’s rich history to life.
In celebration of The Biltmore Hotel’s 100th anniversary, 50 winners will enjoy a two-night stay at our iconic landmark. Share your stories for a chance to win, become a part of history and create timeless memories during our 100-year celebration.

Just like George Merrick broke ground on March 13th, 1925, to commemorate its 100th anniversary, on March 13th, 2025, we broke ground with the burial of a Time Capsule to recognize and honor the first century of the iconic hotel and golf course. A well-attended ceremony welcomed local residents, resort guests, city, state, and national officials, as we buried a time capsule filled with a variety of items, past and present, to represent and mark this day in hopes that in 100 years, someone will open.
