In 2017, The Biltmore Hotel Miami embarked on $35-million property-wide transformational journey to ensure the revival of the resort’s original glory with a sophisticated, refreshed look and feel. Marking the final phase of the hotel’s New Era, The Biltmore’s enhancements to its meeting and events space is designed to meet the demands of meeting and event planners as well as the modern-day traveler — all while conserving the hotel’s legendary design and architecture.
Drawing inspiration from the property’s iconic architecture as well as its already celebrated multi-million renovations, D’Shakil Designs followed the original vision set by George Merrick, the influential developer behind the birth of Coral Gables to select the design palette for The Biltmore’s Conference Center of the Americas utilizing wood inlays, gold leaf, and refined materials, to bring a modern touch that maintains the hotel’s traditional grandeur look and feel. The hotel’s executive wing on the other hand, feature luxurious and detailed wool carpeting with deep blue hues with rich green and gold accents laid against modern white walls and dark gray trim pay homage to The Biltmore’s distinguished reputation as a landmark destination for opulent events.
“The enhancements to our events and meetings space add another level of style and sophistication not only to the hotel but to the Sense-ational meetings and events our guests choose to host with us,” said Matthias Kammerer, Managing Director at The Biltmore Hotel. “This new design truly gives guests a fresh take into the hotel’s storied past.”
